FACTOR-FACTOR RELATED TO THE EVENT OF DERMATITIS CONTACT ON MOTORCYCLE WORKERS IN KENDARI CITY AREA IN 2018

ABSTRACT
Occupational diseases that often occur are contact dermatitis. Contact dermatitis is a dermatitis caused by a substance or substance that attaches to the skin. The study results of the Indonesian Ministry of Health in 2016 on informal workers found that 44.2% had allergic contact dermatitis. Likewise in 2017 about the 2017 Profile of Worker Health Problems in Indonesia, it was found that 50.5% of workers had complaints of health problems that were thought to be related to work, one of which was skin disorders of 5.3%. Occurrence of occupational contact dermatitis in general can be caused by factors such as working period, length of contact, personal hygiene, history of skin disease and use of PPE. This study aims to determine the factors associated with the incidence of contact dermatitis in motorbike workshop workers in Kendari City 2018. This study used a quantitative approach with a cross sectional study design. The population in this study were all motorbike workshop workers in Kendari City in 2018 totaling 459 workers and the sample in this study were 59 people. The results showed that there was a relationship between the duration of contact with the incidence of contact dermatitis with (ρ value = 0,000), there was no correlation of history of skin disease with the incidence of contact dermatitis (ρ value 0.174), there was a relationship between personal hygiene and the incidence of contact dermatitis (ρ value 0.026) , there is a correlation between the use of PPE and the incidence of contact dermatitis (ρ value 0.003).
