Zooplankton is an organism which plays an important role in secondary productivity, as a connector between primary producer and higher consumers. The aim of this study is to determine the diversity and abundance of zooplankton based on differentiation of depth in gulf Staring waters, Wawatu Village, North Moramo District. Three times sampling for every 10 days per month in August 2017. The main variable in this study is diversity and abundance of zooplankton, while as support variable include physical and chemical measured directly in the field and laboratory. Zooplankton was filtered by plankton net, with mesh size 25 μm. I station nearby residential area and dock, II station nearby stone mine, III station nearby tourist area of Lara Island. The purposive sampling method was used in this study, where each station divided into 3 depth variation (0.5, 5, and 10 m) and 3 times repetition. The result of this study found a number of zooplankton species in the whole of stations about (>691 ind/L), Three stations 31 genera in the station 1, 30 genera in station II, dan 31 genera in station III. Abudance ranges of zooplankton is 61.67-185 ind/L. The abudance of zooplankton dominated class of Crustacea (Copepoda). Based on the spatial highest abudance of zooplankton found in the station I of 10 m depth. While the lowest abudance in the station I of 0.5 m. The abudance of zooplankton in Staring Gulf, Wawatu Village is moderate. Uniformity index balanced, and there is no dominates other species.
