This study aims to find out: 1) Learning strategies for Pancasila and Citizenship Education; 2) What factors hinder the learning of Pancasila and Citizenship Education; 3) What efforts have been made by the school and teachers of Pancasila and Citizenship Education in overcoming barriers to learning Pancasila and Citizenship Education
This type of research is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews and documentation. While data analysis uses three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation, and verification.The results of this study indicate that the PPKn learning strategy in SMP Negeri 1 Kendari has been good, although in some aspects there are still obstacles. The most basic obstacles in the PPKn learning strategy include; Learning Objectives, Learning Materials, Students, Facilities, Time, Teacher. This includes the ability of teachers to use IT-based learning media is still not optimal. To overcome the obstacles to Learning PPKn in SMP Negeri 1 Kendari continue to improve self-competence, especially pedagogical and professional competencies. Especially the pedagogic competencies that are needed by the PPKn teachers are related to mastery and understanding of the learning models and methods and the use of learning media. Other efforts made by the school include increasing the quantity and quality of learning facilities and other supporting facilities, such as libraries, computer laboratories, and others. In addition to these efforts, other efforts were to send teachers, including PPKn teachers to attend training and upgrading related to increasing teacher professional competence and pedagogical competencies, both at national and local levels.
