The problem in this study is whether children’s cognitive abilities can be improved thourgh colored ball media RA Wildaanun Rabbaniyyun Kendari? The purpose oh this study was to improve children’s cognitive abilities thourgh the use of colored ball media in the group A1 RA Wildaanun Rabbaniyyun Kendari.
This type of research is a classroom action research (CARD). This study was conducted in two cycles. Stages in this study follow classroom action research procedures, namely: (1) planning, (2) implementation, (3) observation and (4) reflection. The subjects in this study were teachers and children in Group A RA Wildaanun Rabaniyyun Kendari, totaling of 12 children consisting of 9 boys and 3 girl students with range age 4-5 year old.
Based on data analysis of observation result of teacher teaching activity in cycle I obtained percentage of 76,92% achievement. The cycle II percentage achievement of teacher teaching activity 92,31%. Data of children learning activity on cycle I percentage of achievement equal to 75%. Cycle II percentage achievement of children learning activity equal to 91,67%. Based on the analysis of results data about the ability of children's cognitive abilities through the use of colored ball media shows an improvement, this can be shown on the results before the action and after the action. Before the action obtained percentage of achievement of 41,67%, and increased in cycle I with the achievement of 66,67%, and in cycle II obtained percentage of achievement of 991,67%. Thus this research can be concluded that children’s cognitive abilities in the group A1 RA Wildaanun Rabbaniyyun Kendari can be improved thourgh the use of colored ball media.
