NASWATI (N1A614011) “Haroa Bhantea ceremony in the Kulisusu community (case study in Tomoahi village, district Kulisusu, north Buton regency)”. Under the guidance of Dr. La Ode Dirman M.Si as supervisor I, and Rahmat Sewa Suraya S.Sos., M.Si as supervisor II.
Haroa Bhantea is a player ritual which is equipped with offerings which are prepared to welcome the spirit that is held in a guard house on the beachside of Tomoahi village. The research objective is to find out and describe the process, function and meaning in the implementation of the Haroa Bhantea ceremony to the Kulisusu community in Tomoahi village. The research was conducted in April 2018. The research method that were used is descriptive analysis method qualitative research informants taken intentionally (purposive sampling). Data collection is done through observation, interview, and documentation techniques. The results showed that the process of implementing Haroa Bhantea to the people of Kulisusu Tomoahi village, still doing in Haroa Bhantea to prepare the offerings to be offered to the spirits, and the function of the ceremony as a form of socialization among fellow Tomoahi people with spirits. While the meaning of the ceremony consists of three coverage that is the meaning of religion who believes in the existence of spirits who have supernatural power, intertwining social significance as a form of socialization among the people of Tomoahi village, and the symbolic meanings contained in every offering or tool used in Haroa Bhantea.
