ABSTRACT
FITRIANI (N1A3 14 028), with the title of Thesis "History of Matahora Village, Wangi-Wangi Selatan District, Wakatobi Regency: 1987-2017" guided by Dr. La Ode Ali Basri, M. Si, as supervisor I and Dra. Aswati M., M.Hum as mentor II.
The problems in this study are: (1) What is the background of the formation of Matahora Village, Wangi-Wangi Selatan District, Wakatobi Regency?, (2) How is the process of forming the Matahora Village in the South Wangi-Wangi District of Wakatobi ?, (3) What is the development of Matahora Village, South Wangi-Wangi District, Wakatobi Regency, 1987 until 2017?
The method used in this study is the historical method of the opinion of Kuntowijoyo (2013: 69-80) explaining that there are five (5) stages in the historical research method, as follows: (a) Topic Selection, (b) Source Heuristics, (c) Source Verification, (d) Source Interpretation, (5) Historiography.
The results of the study explained that (1) the formation of Matahora Village was motivated by the desire of the community to separate themselves from the government of Wungka Induk Village in order to achieve the equitable distribution of services felt by the people of East Wungka. (2) the process of forming Matahora Village was inseparable from the struggle of the Matahora Village people who wanted to secede from the Wungka Induk Village and then held a deliberation and proposition for the expansion of East Wungka from the Wungka main government, which was championed until March 1987. However, the Governor's decree was issued on June 30, 1987. (3) the development of Matahora Village can be seen in terms of development, namely the construction of road improvements, towers, electric lights, mosques, kindergartens, elementary schools, junior high schools, Islamic centers, Islamic boarding schools, Babussalam Wakatobi / high schools Pluss Babussalam and universities high namely the Academy of Marine Fisheries Community (AKKP). with things like this taking Matahora Village towards development or progress. Where the community has prospered both in the fields of social, religious, economic, education and development.
