This research aims to find out the resistance of beauty myth in Bride Wars movie that is directed by Garry Winick .The construction of physical appearances in this movie is presented as the success of beauty myth to lead woman’s perception supports patriachal’s system. Whereas the male characters in this movie are described as man who does not agree with beauty myth construction and it is represented as resistance of beauty myth. Therefore, beauty myth theory by Naomy Wolf is used to analyze the object. The data are collected through the writer is watching the movie repeatedly and comprehensively, then the writer is pausing and screenshot each scenes related to the problem, and last is interpreting. The result revealed that Emma and Liv as female characters are constructed as beautiful woman that are appropriated with the ideal standards. Then the resistance refers to male characters as representation ofagent feminism. The conclusion, this study is shown about the present of male characters as the resistance of beauty myth.
