The purpose of this research is to know and to analyze (1) the effect of half back up training on throw in ability of fooball games at the students of SMA Negeri 1 Lohia, (2)the effect of half sit up training on throw in ability of fooball games at the students of SMA Negeri 1 Lohia, (3) the effect of half back up training and half sit-uptraining on throw in ability of fooball games at the students of SMA Negeri 1 Lohia.
This research is done by experimental method. The population in this study amounted to 256 people. The sample in this study amounted to 36 people taken by using purposive random sampling technique. The instrument used is a throw in ability test. The results showed that (1) There is an effect of half back-up trainingon throw-in ability of football games at the students of SMA Negeri 1 Lohia,where the average distance of the throw in produced after practice (11.98 meters) further than before the training (11.07 meters). However, based on hypothesis testing, it shows unsignificant results, its means that half back-up training has unsignificant effect on throwin ability where tcount -0.165> p 0.05, (2) There is an effect of half sit-up trainingon throw-in ability of football games at the students of SMA Negeri 1 Lohia,where the average distance of the throw produced after practice (15,10 meters) is more than before training (13.54 meters). Similarly, hypothesis testing showed significant results its means half-sit-up training have an effect on improving throwin ability where tcount = 3, 50
