Speech act is an utterance that serves a function in communication. Expressive Act is a speech act that examines about speech-related speech or expression speakers to partners said. This study is intended to analyze Expressive used and the most dominant of Expressive are employed in Ice Age 3: Dawn of The Dinosaurs. The research questions of this study are formulated: (1) what is the expressives used that employed in Ice Age 3: Dawn of The Dinosaurs based on Illocutionary Searle’s category. (2) What is the most dominant expressives found in Ice Age 3: Dawn of The Dinosaurs. The research methodology used in study is descriptive qualitative. The source of data in this study is Ice Age 3: Dawn of The Dinosaurs movie by Micahel Bergthat is published in 2009. To collect the data the writer used some steps: reading the movie script carefully, identifying dialogue that contain the categories of Expressive used and the most dominant expressive found in Ice Age 3: Dawn of The Dinosaurs. The writer used John Searle’s perspective as tool for analyzing the finding of illocutionary act Expressive in Ice Age 3: Dawn of The Dinosaurs movie. The result of this study shows that there are 15 data of conversation were found in Ice Age 3: Dawn of The Dinosaurs. These data consist of 3 data of Thank you, 3 data of Apologize, 3 data of Condole, 4 data of Deplore, and 2 data of Welcome/ Greeting. Based on the result of this study, the most dominant of expressive found in Ice Age 3: Dawn of The Dinosaurs is Deplore that consists of 4 data.
