This study aimed to analyze and explain: (1) The relationship of work environment with the performance of IPS teachers in SMP Negeri Kendari, (2) The relationship of achievement motivation with the performance of IPS teachers in SMP Negeri Kendari, and (3) The relationship between work environment and achievement motivation with the performance of IPS teachers in SMP Negeri Kendari City.
The population of this study were 106 Teachers. The sample in this study were 52 teachers.The data used by the instrument that developed by the researcher her self based on the theories that built by previous experts and tested to30 teachers. Technique of data analysis used simple regression and simple correlation for hypothesis 1 and 2 and hypothesis testing and double correlation for hypothesis 3.
The findings of this studywere: (1) There was a positive and very significant correlation between work environment with teacher performance of SMP Negeri in Kendari shown by correlation coefficient ry1 = 0,779 and coefficient of determination r2y1 = 0,607 and t-test = 6,022; (2) There was positive corelation and very significant between work environment with the performance of IPS teachers SMP Negeri in Kendari shown by the correlation coefficient ry2 = 0,700 and coefficient of determination r2y1 = 0,491 and t-test = 3,925, and (3) There was a positive and very significant relationship between work environment and achievement motivation with the performance of IPS teachers in SMP Negeri Kendari shown by the correlation coefficient ry12 = 0.802 and coefficient of determination r2y12 = 0.644 and t-test = 3.93.
Based on the findings of this study can be concluded that there was a positive and significant relationship between work environment and achievement motivation with teacher performance either individually or collectively.
