Uji Aktivitas Antibakteri(Staphylococcus aureus dan Salmonella typhi) Dari Minyak Atsiri Hasil Destilasi Uap-Airdaun Rogo(Premna Serratifolia Linn) Dan Hasil Mikroenkapsulasinya

ABSTRACT

An antibacterial activity test (Staphylococcus aureus and Salmonella typhi) has been performed by volatile oil from distillation of water vapor of rogo leaves (premna serratifolia linn) and microencapsulation results. This study aims to determine the compound compiler and rogo oil activity test and microencapsulation results as antibacterial S. aureus and S. typhi. Rogo essential oil is obtained from distillation using a water-steam distillation method with rendamen of 0.62 v / b (%). Characterization using Gas Chromotography-Mass Spectrometry (KG-SM) showed that rogo-based volatile oil of water vapor distillation contained 4 main compounds such as eugenol (47.89%), Eugenil acetate (9,13%), Massoil (29,78% ) and Cis-2-oksabisiklo, 4,4,0-decane (12,35%). Microencapsulation of rogo essential oils using spray drying method with varieties of essential oils of rogo: maltodextrin (1:10, 1:12, 1:14, 1:16, 1:18) produce white powder solids that give a distinctive aroma of rogo oil. The results of antibacterial activity of rogo liquid oil to S. aureus and S. typhi bacteria showed different inhibitory power of each concentration variation of 12.5%, 25%, 50% and 100% with 100% concentration as the best resistor for both bacteria. While the antibacterial activity test of S. aureus and S. typhi from microencapsulated rogo oil: maltodextrin showed the difference of each variation of concentration 1:10; 1:12; 1:14; 1:16 and 1:18 with a 1:14 composition of S. aureus and 1:18 in S. typhi as the best ratio of activity power. The antibacterial activity test between liquid rogo oil and microencapsulated result shows the difference, but it can be concluded that the inhibitory power of rogo oil from microencapsulation is more inhibited than 100% rogo oil.
