ABSTRACT
SITTI WAHYUNI ANGGIRIANI WAODE. (N1A5 14 140). This Thesis Entitled “The Negotiation Action in Mechanic Resurrection Movie Script by Philip Shelby” under the supervison of La Aso (Supervisor) and Nur Israfyan Sofian (Co.Supervisor).

This research aims to describe the negotiation action that occurs in the mechanic resurrection movie by Philip Shelby in terms of discourse analysis. Negotiation is a strategy used to solve problems or differences that occur between one party and the others and between Arthur Bishop and the other character who did negotiation action. This includes the actions taken when both parties communicate, cooperate, or influence each other for a particular purpose. This research used qualitative descriptive method. The source of the data is mechanic resurrection movie (2016). The data were collected by watching, pausing, clasifying, reading, collecting the data, and coding and then analyzed by presenting, describing, interpreting, and concluding the data. This research showes that among ten process of negotiation action, however from the result of analysis there are only five processes of negotiation action found, Offer (5 times), advice (4 times), inform (2 times), answer (2 times), and negotiate (1 times) and the most dominant of negotiation action used in Mechanic Resurrection movie is Offer.
