ABSTRACT
Earthquake is an energy release phenomena or a potential of energy releasing of endogen dynamic that occurs inside the earth. Southeast Sulawesi is an area that has many earthquake activities that are caused by many active faults.  This research is aimmed to recognize distributions of Earthquake that occurs in Southeast Sulawesi area and to determine the potential of earthquake that is going to occur in this area based on energy releasing data and comparation of several fault segments in Southeast Sulawesi.  Methods that are used to calculate energy that is released by faults, expectation energy,  and potential energy are least square method and statistic analysis.  Based on data analysis,  the results demonstrate that the first segment is the area that has the largest potential energy acumulation that is still stored with value 1.50393E+23. This energy is equal with 7.5 Ms earthquake.
