This study aims to determine how semiotics analysis of the use of hashtag (#) savepalestina in forming netizen empathy in Kendari City. The theory used in this research is the triangle theory of Charles Sanders Pierce's meaning. This research is a qualitative descriptive research, the subject of this study is a community of Palestinian care located in Kendari City. Data collection using interview method that contains questions concerning semiotic form of empathy which is generated from each - each community member both in social media and real action in the environment.
The results obtained showed that: use of #savepalestina in establishing netizen empathy in Kendari City netizens using social media instagram in spreading information related to Palestine. In triangle theory the meaning of Charles Sanders Pierce indicates that representamen in this research is hashtag (#) which serves as a sign, the object referred to in this research is something that is represented by the representation that refers to the sign or in other words the object of research in this case the object of research writer refers to #savepalestina used by the Palestinian caring community in Kendari City, whereas interpretant in this study is the significance of the mark which is the focus of this study. The #savepalestina symbol that originally served to group the same events related to the same event in Palestine, now the #savepalestina symbol has become a social movement to appeal to the netizen's empathy confirmed by the upload of images of Palestinian victims and accompanied by the status that describes the related photographs.
