My Advisor Dr. Muhammad Zein Abdullah, S.IP., M.Si and Mentor II Ibu Sitti Utami R. Kamil S.sos., M.I.Kom. The purpose of this study is, to determine the strategy of children's reading room in improving reading interest of elementary school age children. Data analysis technique using qualitative approach by using purposive sampling technique. The location of this research is at the Library and Filing Service of Southeast Sulawesi Province. The results of this study show that, Strategies undertaken by the Library and Filing Service of Southeast Sulawesi Province by improving the existing collection in children's reading room, facilities, human resources and library services such as reading and storytelling service for children. The conclusion in this research is the success of strategy which is done in child's reading room service able to increase the visit data in children's reading room and the children enjoy with service done by library automatically can increase reading interest to child. Suggestions for children's reading room at the Library and Filing Service of Southeast Sulawesi Province include: libraries should add existing services in children's reading room, collection, facilities and various other activities.
