xvi, 31 hlm.; 28 cm Gebel Food Fish habits (Platax Sp.) in the Tondonggeu Waters of District of Abeli Kendari City Abstract This study was conducted in tondonggeu waters from April to August 2016. The aim of study was to know the food habit of sebel fish. The fish samples were obtained using sero with mesh size of 1,25 inch all fishes caught of 61 pieces were made as samples, only 38 pieces three samples were analyzed their gat emtent, while the rest was not able to analyzed dac to depraved their gat content. The gat content was firstly weighed its totalweigh and measured its volume then dissected using a scalpel. Total lenght of fish samples ranged 94.0 - 240.0 mm whieh was divided in to 6 classes, namely : 94.0 - 114.1 mm, 114.1 - 138.4 mm, 138. 4 - 162.6 mm, 162.6 - 186.9 mm, 186.9 - 211.1 mm, and 211.1 - 240.0 mm. The highest fish fregnency was found at 114.2 - 138. 4 mm (15 pieces) and the lonest was found at 211.2 - 138. 4 mm (1 piece). Seagrass in the gat content was found at all sizes mentioned. Similarty, the index of preponderance (IP) of food in the gat content coinsisted of 3 groups namely seagrass (IP = 7.59%), fish (PI = 28.79%), and crustacean (IP = 0,53%). Based on these data obtained, seagrass is major food item of there fish, while fish and crustacea constitute supplement food items. Al fish length classes food itens consumed by those fish is juite similar.
