Students’ Perception Of Using Powerpoint Presentation In The Learning Process At English Department Students Of Halu Oleo University

The purpose of the study was to investigatestudents’ perception of using PowerPoint presentations in the learning process at English Department students of Halu Oleo University who registered in 2016/2017. It was based on the research question, “What is the students’ perception of using PowerPoint presentation in the learning process at English Department students of Halu Oleo University who registered in 2016/2017?”. The objective of this study is to know students perception of using PowerPoint presentation in the learning process at English Department students of Halu Oleo University who registered in 2016/2017. This study focused on PowerPoint presentation used by lecturers. The design of this study was descriptive quantitative research. The population of this study was 112 of English Departmentstudents who registered in 2016/2017. The samples of this study are 33 students. The instrument of this study was questionnaire. The researcher analyze this study was usedSPSS 16.0 and the result presented in mean, percentage, and bar graph.These findings have shown that students of English Department who registered 2016/2017 had a positive perception to use PowerPoint presentation media in the learning process;It can be seen from the percentage result of each item questionnaire. From all item questionnaire the percentage of positive perception are higher than negative and neutral perception. It means that students’ of English Department who registered 2016/2017 perceived that using PowerPoint presentation could facilitate them in the learning process.
